Ready: Preparing our Communities for Emergencies

The 2026 hurricane season has begun, with peak season from mid-August to late October. It is important to plan for weather-related emergencies before they happen to help your family and community cope during and after the storm. This free virtual session will cover easy free or low-cost ways to prepare for this and other weather-related emergencies.

This Session Will Cover:

  • 4 simple steps to disaster planning
  • How to create a low-cost basic emergency kit
  • Ways to minimize the degree of loss or harm
  • How to protect your home, and other assets
  • Financial preparedness for a disaster
  • Lots of free electronic guides, resources, and information.
