Pesticide Collection Day
Event time: Pesticide Collection Days are always 10am-2pm
Materials Accepted: Our Contractor can only accept pesticides – if in doubt, contact us. This does include banned, out-dated and unwanted pesticides.
Pesticide Dealers, Retailers and Businesses: The PDAP’s focus is to assist agricultural producers, farmers, and homeowners. Collecting from dealerships and retail pesticide sales would overburden the Program’s budget. If in doubt, contact us prior to collection day to discuss individual situations for potential assistance.
Materials NOT Accepted: We cannot accept minibulk/IBC containers, unknown materials, pressurized cylinders (but pesticide aerosols are fine), or other non-pesticide items at the event – if in doubt, contact us before the event. We may be able to provide assistance and options, but it may not be at your event or thru this program.
Bulk Liquids: Any material container over 5gal in size requires pre-approval from our Contractor. Contact us before the event for assistance/options.
Pesticides from outside the County: Yes, pesticides can be brought to the Pesticide Collection Day from ANY North Carolina county. Please share your event date w other county agents.
No pre-registration is required, but bulk liquids >5gal in size require special paperwork before acceptance. Please have clients contact you or us directly with details so we can discuss the material before bringing to the event.
