Don't miss this opportunity to join in on the fun. Nash County 4-H is hosting a 4-H Gingerbread House Contest for all ages. There will be two categories: Homemade or Gingerbread Kit. Ribbon prizes will be 1st - 3rd in each age group and category. Cloverbud participants ages 5 - 7 years will receive a 4-H participation ribbon and 4-H goody bag in which they can receive at pick up.You must register by December 11th and plan to drop off your prize-winning gingerbread house on Monday, December 15th at the Nash County Agriculture Center at 1006 Eastern Avenue, Nashville, NC 27856 between the hours of 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Only one entry per person is allowed.

Is This Open to the Public?

Yes, this event is open to the public, however, youth between the ages of 5 years and 19 years, as of January 1, 2025, you must be registered in the 4-H Online.

Age Categories


All ages as of January 1, 2025

Cloverbuds: Ages 5 - 7 years


Juniors: Ages 8 - 10 years


Intermediate: 11 - 13 years


Seniors: Ages 14 - 18 years


Adults: Ages 19 years and older

Gingerbread Houses can be made from scratch or from a kit Houses must be appropriate-nothing vulgar or political No larger than 24"x 24" Must be made this year Edible decorations only
