Community and Rural Development Council

2021 Community Awards

The Community and Rural Development (CRD) Council of Nash County encourages citizens to participate in their local neighborhood organization to enhance the welfare and quality of life for Nash County residents. The Council also promotes education and inspires leadership within the community. In addition, they provide countywide programs and services to Nash County residents. The CRD Council is comprised of six Nash County communities working together with the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Nash County Center.

This year many of the Council’s in-person programming had to be canceled due to continuing COVID-19 concerns. While we stayed connected virtually, we truly missed seeing many of our community members. Once again we are recognizing some of our community leaders who have demonstrated outstanding community leadership and achievement over the years for their community, and Nash County as a whole with a spirit of service.
