All of the Home food Preservation Classes for Summer of 2024 are full.
Join us for a series of home food preservation classes that will include learning to can sweet spreads, a pickling class, and how to pressure can. Canning is an art and a fun skill to learn. We will offer three canning sessions this season. Participants will pick the sessions they want to attend and register for each session separately. Please see the description of each session below along with the registration links for the sessions. The Sweet Spreads and Pressure Canning classes will be held at the Nash Extension Office at 1006 Eastern Avenue, Nashville, NC. The Pickling class will be held at the Edgecombe Extension Office located at 201 St. Andrew St. Tarboro, NC. The registration fee is $10.00 for each class. This class is designed for anyone interested in learning more about safely making jams, jellies, and other sweet spreads at home. This hands-on class will cover types of sweet spreads, how to prepare sweet spreads safely, and troubleshooting.
