Celebrate the holiday season with a trip to New York City (NYC). Imagine a day of shopping and self-exploration. There is an endless list of things to do and see in the Big Apple and it will be entirely up to you. You will have the whole day to explore the city sites and best of all you can leave the driving to us! Here’s how the trip schedule works:

Friday, Dec 13th

DEPART Nash County Agriculture Center in Nashville at 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, Dec 14th

ARRIVE in New York City around 8:00 a.m.
DEPART New York City at 7:00 p.m. sharp

Sunday, Dec 15th

ARRIVE at Nash County Agriculture Center in Nashville the wee hours on Sunday morning

Drop Off and Pickup

in New York will be at Bryant’s Park behind Macy’s near Time Square.


$175 per person
includes $5.00 50/50 Raffle Ticket

Hosted by the Nash County 4-H Volunteer Leaders Association


Deposit and Registration

A $75.00 non-refundable deposit is due at time of registration. Registration deadline is Monday, December 2nd or until the bus is full. Final payments due by Monday, December 2nd. 

Both the Registration AND the Waiver and Release of Liability Forms at the bottom of this page must be completed and submitted with a $75.00 non-refundable deposit for each person attending.

Payment may be made with by cash or cashiers check payable to Nash County 4-H
Payments can be mailed to or dropped at N.C. Cooperative Extension office located at 1006 Eastern Avenue, Room 102, Nashville NC 27856. 

We can not accept checks or credit cards.

New YorkThere’s so much to see and do in The Big Apple. You can visit the Rockefeller Center tree, ice skating in Central Park, shopping at the Winter Village at Bryant’s Park, just stand in Time Square (photo op), catch a horse and buggy ride, see Radio City Music, check out Macy’s – the world’s largest department store and the decked out holiday window displays. See the Statue of Liberty, stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge, check out the Empire State Building or the 9/11 Memorial. Going exploring, ride the subway, catch one of those yellow cabs, take a cruise on the Staten Island Ferry or just grab a cup of coffee, or hot chocolate, and people watch. The list is endless and it’s all up to you.

Research Before Go

Some sites require admission or reservations and so be sure to inquire about ticket availability and purchasing in advance. Due to COVID, NYC may have specific requirements (masks or vaccination card). At this time, their restrictions have been lifted and no longer require masks or vaccination cards to visit restaurant’s. Be sure to do your research and make plans accordingly.

A Few More Details

A non-refundable deposit of $75.00 is due at registration. The balance must be paid by Monday, December 2nd The cost is $175.00 per person/per seat and includes one round trip ticket on a charter bus to New York City (NYC) and one 50/50 Raffle ticket. 50/50 Raffle drawing will be held on the bus approximately one hour prior to arrival to NYC. Buses depart both Nashville and New York City on time. Seats are first come, first serve. Be at the Nash County Agriculture Center early if you want to be seated with members in your group.

Participants may bring small coolers or snack bags that fit under their seat, in an overhead compartment or stored in an outside storage compartment. Be sure to tag your belongings. Dress accordingly and where comfy shoes. Bring a pillow and blanket for a cozy journey. Restroom stops will be provided with one longer stop prior to arrival to NYC to allow for freshening up and a change of clothes and another after leaving NYC. Buses are equipped with phone charging capabilities. No refunds will be offered unless the trip is cancelled by N.C. Cooperative Extension, Nash County Center, or the bus company provides reimbursement for the bus rental. Reminders and updates will be sent, via email, at least 5 days prior to the trip date. Be sure to check your email. If you do not receive an email please contact our office at 252.459.9810.
