Okra – Cooking Up the Season
Okra is one of my favorite summer vegetables. It is fat-free, very low in sodium, cholesterol-free, and low in calories. It can be prepared so many different ways. Okra can be roasted, sauteed, fried, boiled, added to a stir fry, and much more. Okra can be frozen for use later or you can make pickled okra.
The latest video in the Cooking Up The Season mini-series is all about okra and you can access it on the Nash & Edgecombe Family & Consumer Sciences Youtube page.
