Friday, September 18th reading will be at

9:00 a.m. instead of 10:00 a.m.

The fall season brings about so many changes and this year has been a year of change. One of my favorite school activities during my early childhood years was story time, especially during the fall of the year. I loved gathering with my classmates, teacher, and listening to the adventures of different characters. I would like to bring that storytime magic to area preschoolers and families through Mrs. Regina’s Reading Corner and Food Fun.

Beginning Friday, September 11 at 10 a.m., I will go live on the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Nash County Center Facebook page and read a fun food related book to preschoolers and their families. After the storytime, I will have a quick fun food demonstration of a food related to the season and book we have just read. I will also discuss and demonstrate fun activities families can do together such as a kitchen scavenger hunt, and animal yoga.

Mrs. Regina’s Reading Corner will begin Friday, September 11 and will meet via Facebook live each Friday until November 20. The reading will begin at 10 a.m. with the food demonstration and family activity following the reading.
