4-H Teach like a Pro series

Registering for the 4-H Teach Like a Pro Series?  Please complete the following steps to ensure you’re registered. This program is a collaborative effort between Edgecombe, Nash and Wilson counties 4-H Extension programs, so it’s important that you follow the steps outlined below so you are correctly accounted for and provided all the necessary materials for a successful project.

  1. Step One:  BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 1ST AT 8:00 a.m. register for each program and pay through the Eventbrite linked to each program (link found below above each event flyer). This is first come first served and some classes have participation limits. Some classes are free and some have a fee to cover the materials needed. All details regarding the particular class is stated on the individual flyers below as well in the Eventbrite registration.
  2. Step Two: Enroll in 4-H Online. When enrolling, select the county of residence (Edgecombe, Nash or Wilson) and choose the Teach Like a Pro Club when choosing a club. Currently, no clubs are meeting face to face but once they begin and you would like to join a club, we can help you select which one is best for your child. Registering in 4-H Online in your particular county also allows you to receive updated newsletters and learn about other 4-H opportunities.

  3. Step Three: Confirmation Pick Up/Zoom Link If you are picking up a kit of materials or needing the Zoom link to join in the series, you will be notified of exact pick up location, times and Zoom link prior to the series. Each county extension office has its own set of rules, so please make sure to follow your pick up guidelines for your county.

The Grow Box is a “subscription box” program that delivers garden fun for families right to their door. It is a partnership between North Carolina 4-H and the JC Raulston Arboretum and is funded through an Extension Innovation grant. It is intended to grow and nurture the agricultural curiosity of our current 4-H families and possibly lure new ones into the fold and connect kids to the wondrous plant world of the JCRA.

*Please note these are separate opportunities outside of the Teach Like a Pro Series offered by Edgecombe, Nash and Wilson County 4-H programs.
