Fall Walking Challenge

— Written By

As the weather turns cooler, and the leaves begin to change, grab your walking shoes, your family, a pet, or just you, and let’s celebrate family fitness by participating in the 2020 Nash County Fall Walking Challenge. This is a 4-week challenge you can participate in right from the comfort of your home. All you have to do is register and log your walking time. You do not have to walk outdoors. We just want you up and moving so walking around the house or on the treadmill counts in this challenge.

The challenge will begin Sunday, September 27, and will end on Saturday, October 24, 2020. Participants will receive weekly newsletters, a walking log, and a certificate of participation. A Fitbit will be awarded to the top walkers. To be eligible for the Fitbit prize registered participants must submit their completed walking log and walking challenge evaluation survey to Regina Moseley at regina_moseley@ncsu.edu by Friday, October 30, 2020.

Participants will log 1 point for every ten minutes of walking on their log. At the end of the 4-week challenge participants will submit their logs and completed evaluation surveys to the Nash County office. Participants must register for the challenge through Eventbrite.
